We added fish paste caught in Makurazaki and fried it to bring out the flavor.

Cod and threadfin mince is mixed with a wide variety of fish species, including rainbow trout and mahi-mahi, which are caught locally in Makurazaki, and the umami of bonito flakes and kelp is added to bring out the flavor of the fish, then fried in first-press rapeseed oil. It is made in a factory in Makurazaki, Kagoshima Prefecture, the home of satsumaage, but the sweetness is reduced compared to the local seasoning. Simply lightly grill it and enjoy it in any way you like, such as simmered, kinpira, or stir-fried. It is also recommended as a companion to a cold beer.
